The Ahava Foundation was founded in January 2016 when the de Silva family comprising of Mother, Son and Daughter teamed up with two like-minded friends, with a common empathy for the less fortunate; to be the vehicle of action!

Tucked away at the bottom of India, our island nation is known as the ‘pearl of the Indian ocean’ and is home to many ethnicities, races and religions. Sri Lanka is famous for its brew of ‘Ceylon Tea’ and also rubber, coconut, cinnamon and gems. Lately our garment industry has contributed to well known brand names across the globe and of course our Cricketers are famous too. We are a number one tourist destination blessed with beautiful sea beaches, resplendent wild life, cool hill country with its tea plantations, a 2,500 year cultural history – to name but a few star attractions.
